Dunham Pointe - New Cypress, TX Master Planned Community
The stretch of land consists of 1,327 acres, 300 of which will be dedicated to retail development along the Hwy. 290 corridor. The rest will be devoted to anywhere between 2,500 and 3,000 residential homes.
Dunham is also the developer behind Stone Creek Ranch, a community located farther west along Hwy. 290 in Hockley. He said the Dunham Pointe will have a higher price point than Stone Creek Ranch with houses likely to start at $400,000.
The article goes on to say that construction for the community will start in the middle of next year (2017) with lots being available to build in 2018.
This is truly the largest and most valuable piece of property left to be built that is (a) in Cypress and (b) zoned to Cy-Fair ISD. With about 2 miles of frontage on Hwy 290 and sandwiched between two of the best communities in Cypress with some of the best schools in Cypress in Bridgeland and Fairfield, I am certain that Dunham Pointe will be a very popular location for both new families and businesses.
Current families in Cypress have to be happy about the developer planning on building an upper end neighborhood, too, with prices starting in the $400s which should help with existing property values. If Dunham stays true to his word on that starting price, Dunham Pointe will have the highest starting price point than every other Cypress area master-planned community by more than $100,000 (Bridgeland, Cypress Creek Lakes, Miramesa, Towne Lake, and Fairfield.)
